ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There will be big headaches for motorists in downtown St. Louis.

MoDot will be closing lanes on Memorial Drive and Walnut.

Each night on Sunday through Thursday , for three weeks, crews will close two lanes of either north or southbound Memorial Drive between Washington Avenue and the Poplar Street Bridge.

On some evenings, Walnut will be closed over I-70.  The dates for the Walnut closure have not been announced.

These closures are for preliminary design work for the Park Over the Highway project.
