ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – An alleged bank robber is in police custody after police tracked the suspect to his mother’s home.
The man in his 20s is suspected in robbing the Pulaski Bank on DeBaliviere about 9:15 Friday morning.
Police spotted him in the area of Clara and Clemons where authorities thought he had run into a building.
After about 20 minutes the man came out, unarmed, and was taken into custody.
Captain Joseph Spiess says the man’s mother was extremely helpful in coaxing her son out of her apartment. And she warned police that he has a history of mental illness.
Police recovered the weapons and some money, and no one was hurt.

Another Bank Robbery
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — Police responded to another bank robbery Friday this time in Jefferson County.
It happened around 1:50 p.m. at the US Bank in Dillon Plaza.
The suspect, was wearing a short wig. Police say the bandit was not armed but handed a teller a note.
