FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KMOX) - Franklin County police say 11-year-old Maria Huber has been found. She was taken to a nearby hospital just after 3 o’clock has has since returned home.
A search crew found the missing girl in a ravine located at the intersection of Jones Road and Old Highway 111, not far from the subdivision where she lived.
Rescue team members initially said Huber had no pulse and no signs of life but deputies later noticed signs of life. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says Huber had been upset over a disagreement with her parents. She went to bed at 9 Wednesday night and when her parents checked on her Thursday morning, they noticed her alarm had been set for 2 a.m.
Toelke says they focused their efforts in the Ming Estates area, near her home.
“We’ve got detectives that are interviewing her friends, looking at her computers at school and trying to find anybody who may have seen her, talked to her, somebody she may have confided in,” Toelke said.
The investigation continues.
