JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (KMOX) - Two Missouri legislators want to create the biggest state bond issue in thirty years.
Democratic Representative Chris Kelly and Republican Senator Kurt Schaefer are working on a nearly one billion dollar bonding bill.
Representative Kelly says the funds would make improvements to the state’s university campuses, mental health facilities, and even the state capitol building.
Voters would have to approve.
