ST. LOUIS (AP) - ST. LOUIS (AP) More than 100 mourners gathered for services for a 4-year-old suburban St. Louis boy killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident that also injured his brother.
Visitation for Trayeshon Williams was Friday before his funeral at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis. He died Oct. 5 when he was hit while trying to cross a Pagedale street. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Trayeshon was in an open casket with blue flowers.
Also Friday morning, prosecutors filed charges of second-degree murder and assault against suspected motorist, 54-year-old Ricky Weeden of St. Louis. He had been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
Online court records don’t show an attorney for Weeden, who also doesn’t have a listed home phone number.
