WESTMINSTER, CO (KMOX) – Authorities in Colorado brought their search for a missing girl to  Missouri, but she never made it more than seven miles from her home.

A body found Wednesday near Westminster, Colorado has been identified as 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway.  She disappeared October 5th while on her way to school.

Last week police searched the Independence, Missouri home of Jessica’s father and great-grandmother.  Police say they are not considered suspects.
