COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — Two men are charged with beating a man outside a Collinsville bar in an unprovoked attack earlier this month.

24-year-old David Anderson of Collinsville, and 23-year-old Douglas Totty of Fairmont City are charged with felony aggravated battery.

Police say the two men knocked a 55-year-old man to the ground outside Ardie and Tiny’s Bar in the 100 block of Joe Street in the early morning hours Sunday, October 7th and began kicking and stomping on him. After the attack the men fled on foot, according to a witness.

The victim was transported to a St. Louis area hospital where he was treated for multiple facial fractures. He is expected to make a full recovery.

David Anderson posted bond and has been released from custody. Douglas Totty remains in the custody of the Madison County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
