ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – After a strong start to the 2012 postseason, Cardinals right fielder Carlos Beltran left Wednesday’s game with a strained right knee.
The injury seemed to occur when Beltran hit into a double-play in the bottom of the first inning.
Beltran was replaced by Matt Carpenter who entered the game hitting 4-for-4 against Giants starter Matt Cain.
