ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Police have now made an arrest after a string of armed robberies on the city’s south side.
24-year-old Vincent Newman of the 3800 block of Folsom in St. Louis has been charged with robbery and armed criminal action.
The latest occurred early yesterday morning on South Spring when the suspect approached a 27-year-old woman walking back to her car. The victim grabbed the woman’s purse and shot her in the face.
Wednesday morning’s robbery resembles two others, leading police to link the three.
On October 16, a 20-year-old woman was robbed of her cell phone and tablet on Russell before being shot in the left arm and face. Two days earlier, a couple on South Grand was robbed and then told by the suspect to run. The suspect then fired at the man, hitting him in the right hand and left leg.
