St. Ann, MO (KMOX)–St. Ann Poiice are searching for a man who they say tried to abduct several children in St. Ann Friday evening.  Police say five children, ages 8 to 11 were playing in the parking lot of the Nortwest Airport Inn  on North Lindbergh around 5:30 p.m.  An unknown man drove around the parking lot twice, stopped, got out and placed a box full of snack chips on the ground and asked the children if they wanted some.

One 8 year old girl started to approach the box, but was pulled back by her 11 year old brother.  Police say the man became angry, put the chips back in the van and drove off.  Police say a second man was in the back of the van, but was not identified.  No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as black male in his 40’s, 220 pounds with a black skull cap with “STL” written on it.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white 2008 Chrysler Town & Country minivan with tinted windows and a blue rear bumper.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call St. Ann police at 314-428-6868.
