UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOX) — Police have released sketches of three suspects they believe shot and killed a woman and her adult son Monday afternoon.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Mosary Stallings and 54-year-old Phebe Stallings. Both are St. Louis residents.

According to Police both victims were gunned down near a candy store located at the intersection of Sutter and Chamberlin.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the owner of the candy store heard gunshots, looked out and saw the pair lying in the lawn. He believes they were ambushed.

Both the mother and the son were pronounced dead at a hospital.

On Tuesday, police released composite sketches for three men they believe may have been involved. Anyone with information regarding the subjects in the sketches is asked to call authorities.
