ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Home prices across the St. Louis area have had mixed growth in the past year.

That’s according to Coldwell Banker Gundaker President Jim Dohr.

“In St. Louis County, the median price was up two percent in the third quarter of this year compared to the third quarter of 2011,” Dohr said. “In St. Charles County, the median price was up six percent.”

Also up are the number of sales.

“Sales in the St. Louis metro area, closed units, were up fifteen percent compared to last September so we continue to move along at a pretty good pace,” Dohr said.

He said condo sales are slower than single family homes, because sometimes condo financing can be harder to get.

The bad news? Dohr said home prices in the city are down four percent though all home prices are expected to rise next year.
