Sleepout: Executive Edition is a unique event that will be taking place simultaneously across Covenant House locations all across the United States.
Why we are sleeping out?
“I am going to ‘sleep out’ with Covenant House to experience what it’s like to sleep on cold concrete. Maybe I’ll have a better understanding of being homeless.” – Charlie Brennan
“I am sleeping out to support Covenant House and bring attention to the problem of homeless teens and young adults in our community. The stories of how these young people wound up homeless are harrowing, but turn the page to find out how Covenant House is helping these youth create meaningful and productive lives. By sleeping out, I want to show our listeners the obstacles these young people face and highlight the amazing work of Covenant House and its dedicated staff.” – Debbie Monterrey

Tonight in St. Louis, over 2,000 teens will be sleeping under a bridge, in an abandoned building or in other dangerous places. These kids are fleeing a life of abuse, neglect and chronic poverty. They truly believe there is nowhere else to turn. Most people find it surprising that 57% of these kids come from outside of the City of St. Louis. Last year Covenant House Missouri served over 6,000 homeless and at-risk youth by providing them with shelter, food, clothing, employment training, educational resources and counseling.
