Gregory Crowder and Derrick Coleman
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) — Two people are in police custody from a weekend murder in Madison, Illinois.
49 year-old Gregory Crowder and 24-year-old Derrick Coleman are charged with four counts of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Investigators with the St. Louis Metropolitan Major Case Squad linked the two suspects to the murder.
23-year-old Travon Bey was shot multiple times Saturday evening at a home in Madison, Illinois.
Crowder and Coleman then fled the scene, abandoning their vehicle in Granite City, Illinois in the early morning hours Sunday.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Major Brad Wells says Crowder and Bey knew each other from the streets and had issues with each other in the past.
The Granite City Police Department is also looking for Derrick Coleman’s brother, Robert Coleman.
He is wanted on an unrelated charge, but police believe he was also at the murder scene.
