ST. LOUIS (AP) – A St. Louis man is back in jail after being free for four months because of a city sheriff’s worker’s mistake.
Until this week, nobody noticed that 21-year-old Terrell Love was freed without paying the $15,000 bail he owed on one of four pending drug cases. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Love didn’t appear to know he was technically a fugitive and even made several court appearances on other charges.
The situation was rectified this week after a bail bondsman noticed something was amiss and alerted authorities. Love was rearrested on Tuesday and is now jailed again on $15,000 cash bail.
