FAIRVIEW HTS. IL. (KMOX) – Someone broke into a police officer’s home in the Metro East and stole several weapons.

Fairview Heights Police say it happened in their community but the officer works for a different P.D.

The thief came through a bedroom window and took a police issue Glock handgun and a personally owned AK-47 rifle.

The name and address of the individual and the department he works for are being withheld.

Fairview Heights Police say a $1,500. reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
