St. Louis, MO (KMOX)–Taxpayers in the City of St. Louis began receiving their annual personal property and real-estate tax statement from the City’s office of the Collector of Revenue. These bills are payable by or before December 31, as designated by Missouri State Statute.
The office says it will issue more than 220,000 notices this year, calculated at a tax rate of $7.4974 per $100 of assessed valuation, compared to last year’s rate of $7.2070.
2012 property bills may be paid in several ways: by calling 1-800-2PAYTAX as noted on the bill itself. The online payment system of www.officialpayments.com, is an option. Taxpayers can also mail in their payments using the enclosed return envelope. They can also pay in person at the Collector of Revenue office, City Hall, Room 109, or by visiting several satellite bank locations, which can be found at www.stlouiscollector.com.
