CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) - A Chesterfield couple walked in on a burglary in progress in their home, were tied up and threatened with a knife. It happened around 6:30 Monday evening.
Captain Steve Lewis told KMOX News “While the couple is scared they were not injured in the incident but we are obviously deeply concerned that someone would be this bold if you will.”
The suspect who was wearing a mask took their keys and drove off with their Grey Toyota Hylander. That vehicle was later recovered, processed, and returned to the victims Tuesday.
The suspect is described as a black male 25 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 11-inches tall.
He was wearing dark clothing with grey or silver tennis shoes. Captain Lewis says he’s considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information should call police.
The incident happened in a gated neighborhood near I-64.
