IRON COUNTY, Mo. (AP) — A 6-year-old girl is unharmed after being lost in the woods of rural eastern Missouri for about eight hours.
Authorities say the child wandered away from her father while he was hunting for deer in Iron County early Saturday morning. That prompted a search involving at least 100 people. Police, some in helicopters, were also part of the search.
The girl was spotted about 2:15 p.m. walking in a field toward a county road.
