ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – There’s a new effort to crowd-source and crowd-fund St. Louis’s civic image to the rest of the world.
Do you think you could *do better* than the local leaders who’ve come up with marketing tag-lines like: Perfectly Centered, Remarkably Connected?
Do you have an idea for a project or stunt that could get St. Louis some attention for being… cool? Like Chicago’s Marilyn Monroe statue?
A new effort called, Rally St. Louis, debuting this week, is designed to give the average person a chance to propose ideas and get them funded.
“There are lots of people out there that have great ideas. So lets get those surfaced. Lets get those out there. Lets let people know exactly what this city is about, but also what else can we do?” said Brian Cross.”
Cross says Rally St. Louis was born out of positive reaction to a column called “St. Louis Doesn’t Suck” that was on the Forbes website last year.
Civic leaders have given their blessing to the project, which is believed to be the first of its kind in the nation.
