GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOX) — Three teenagers are charged as adults in murder of a 54-year-old man from Granite City.
Charles Weiss was shot Thursday night in an alley in the 1200 block of Meridian, which is near his home.
Granite City Police Major Jeff Connor said Weiss told officers on the scene he was robbed my four or five men, and one of them shot him. Weiss died Friday morning from his injury.
16-year-old Brian Taylor and 15-year-olds Markeith Reynolds Jr. and Shawn Russell are all charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder.
They remain in custody at the Madison County Juvenile Detention Home.
A fourth suspect also remains in custody at the detention home, but due to the fact that he is 14, his case remains in Juvenile Court.
