ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Two men were shot outside a gas station in north St. Louis Tuesday.

One of them later died.

It happened shortly after 1 pm Tuesday in front of the Mobil station at Delmar and N. Kingshighway.

Police say a white, newer-model Mazda SUV pulled to a stop in front of the victims’ car and several shots rang out.

26-year-old Vontel Harris of St. Louis was struck in the chest, stomach and leg and was dead on arrival at a local hospital.

A 23-year-old man in his car was listed in serious but stable condition with a gunshot wound to the upper left leg.

No arrests have been made.
