ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If you didn’t do any Black Friday shopping but you plan to take advantage of Cyber Monday, the Better Business Bureau has some tips.
BBB President and CEO Michelle Cory says the name of the game is protecting your personal information online.
“Make sure you’re on a secure site, for instance in that url the website is https:// and there should be a closed lock on the right hand side of your screen,” Cory said.
She advises consumers to pay with a credit card, the best way to “protest any charge you feel should not be on your credit card.” Also, never respond to emails asking for your credit card or bank account numbers, and be sure to print your order confirmation for your own records.
