Granite City, IL (KMOX)–Charges have been filed in the Saturday morning hit and run accident that killed an East Alton woman.

23 year old Gabrielle Parent of Granite City is charged with failing to report a fatal accident. She’s being held on 30 thousand dollars bond.

50 year old Shari Watts was found along the northbound lanes of Illinois Route 3 south of Neidringhaus. Investigators say she may have been tring to get a ride home from Brooklyn.
