ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  A run-in with police over the weekend ended with a man allegedly spitting on an officer.

38-year-old Ali Cross was taken into custody following Saturday night’s incident at the “Hair of the Dog” bar in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue.

According to a police report Cross “defecated on a restroom floor” and then confronted the bar manager when asked to leave, yelling at him and trying to punch him.

A city police officer arrived on scene and that’s when Cross allegedly spit on him.

He was booked for two counts of misdemeanor assault.

A check shows Cross has a history of arrests for battery and drug possession.
