ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The reward for information which finds whomever tied a puppy to the truck that dragged it up Interstate 55 just before Thanksgiving has been doubled.
Humane Society of Missouri President Kathy Warnick said an anonymous donor has allowed the reward to grow to $5,000.
“We have received a number of leads, we are following up on the leads, and we hope the additional reward will provide even more leads that will result in the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this crime,” Warnick said.
As for the puppy, named Trooper, Warnick said he’s now walking on all four legs.
“We feel that the chances of his right front leg, that had been so severely injured in the accident, the chances of recovery for that leg are better and better every day,” she said.
Warnick expects Trooper to be ready for adoption within two weeks.
