HOUSE SPRING, Mo. (KMOX) – The man who allegedly robbed a House Springs bank Friday morning may have thought he had a good getaway plan, but it didn’t work.
Jefferson County Sherrif’s Department Captain Ron Arnhart tells KMOX the suspect gave a teller in the Eagle Bank on Route MM a note, displayed a handgun, then took off with money.
“The subject left of foot behind the bank, went into a creek, existed the creek then entered a red and white GMC pick-up truck which was parked a short distance from the bank,” Arnhart said.
About a half-hour later deputies spotted the truck on MM and pulled it over without incident.
They arrested a 45-year-old man, and a 37-year-old woman who was also in the truck. Both are from House Springs.
