FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) - A truck driver from the state of Louisiana is dead after his rig overturned on Interstate 44 in Franklin County, Missouri.

The highway patrol says 25-year-old Diaael Saker of Kenner, La. was headed eastbound early Saturday when he lost control of the wheel and over-corrected, causing his truck to crash.

An SUV and car attempted to stop to avoid the wreckage, but skidded into the truck.

Troopers say the drivers of those vehicles and a passenger in the truck suffered non life-threatening injuries.

That section of eastbound I-44 at highway 50 was shut down for nearly nine hours for clean-up and investigation.
