WEBSTER GROVES, MO. (KMOX) - A cafeteria worker in the Webster Groves School District has been fired for providing hot meals to a fourth grader who couldn’t pay for them.
Dianne Brame says the student’s parents had him on the free lunch program last year but didn’t reapply for the program this year, so he was supposed to be receiving cheese sandwiches and milk.
Brame told KMOV she just didn’t have the heart to see the boy crying every day.
Brame was an employee of Cartwells Food Service Management Company, which had no comment.
