ST. LOUIS (AP) — Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered U.S. and Missouri flags lowered to half-staff on state buildings in St. Louis on Tuesday in honor of a fallen firefighter.
Forty-six-year-old Jeffery Hudson died in his sleep last Wednesday at a firehouse in St. Louis after returning from a call. Hudson had been with the department for 18 years.
A funeral service for Hudson was also scheduled for Tuesday. A cause of death was not immediately known.
