BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) – Union School and Lindenwood University were put on a brief lockdown Tuesday afternoon.
Belleville police say they got a report of a person possibly armed behind the institutions near some rail road tracks.
Law enforcement from several agencies responded.
At 2:40 p.m. a white male in his late 20s or early 30s wearing jeans and a red T-shirt was in handcuffs and was taken into Union School by police
A Lindenwood student tells KMOX that he’s received a text around 3:00 p.m. saying the all clear has been given.
