ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It was a mad scramble for safety after a home in north St. Louis caught fire early this morning.
St. Louis Fire Captain Dan Sutter says crews were called to a home in the 5300 block of Greer around 2 a.m.
“The building was well involved in fire and there was one person trapped in a second floor area,” he said. “They used a ground latter to bring that person to safety.”
But another person inside the home had to jump out a window.
“Two persons have been transported from the scene,” Sutter said. “One who had jumped and another which was inside the house at the time firefighters arrived. Both have been transported, injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
Four others in the home got out safely.
