JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) – A Hillsboro man was struck and killed Monday night as he stood alongside a road in Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 92-year old Irvin Emerson had just been involved in an accident on Highway “A” near Burning Tree Lane when he walked into the path of a car and was fatally struck.
No charges have been brought against the driver of the car that hit him.
