ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) – It’s called “N-Bomb”, and it’s the latest synthetic drug to show up on the local scene.
St. Louis County police chief Tim Fitch is putting out the warning about the arrival of “N-Bomb”, which he also identifies as “legal acid”.
He says the drug, so-named for its chemical identification 2C-I-NBOMe or 25INBOMe, has recently started surfacing during undercover drug buys.
“This is a very dangerous drug, and it’s important that we get this information out to the public,” Fitch said.
“N-Bomb” is a derivative of mescaline but is much more potent and deadly than similar predecessors.
It’s usually ingested as a liquid that’s been soaked into blotter paper.
“N-Bomb” has already been blamed for deaths in California, Louisiana, Minnesota, North Dakota and Virginia.
Only Virginia and Louisiana have so far banned sale of the substance.
