Donovan Whitt
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - It could have been the perfect crime except for one thing — the robber left his keys behind.
25-year-old Donovan Whitt is now officially charged with 1st-degree robbery and armed criminal action in connection with the New Year’s Eve day hold-up at a gas station on Bates at Virginia.
He and another man reportedly burst in, pointed a gun at an attendant and demanded cash and checks.
But the keys left behind at the scene led inspectors right to Whitt’s home in the 6300 block of Minnesota.
