ALTON, Ill. (KMOX) – Firefighters were kept busy, Sunday morning, battling freezing cold temperatures and a multi-structure blaze in Alton.

The fire destroyed one home, burned through the roof of a second, and melted the siding on a third home in the 1100 block of East 7th Street.

Crews had to pull back from inside one home, and spray water from the outside, due to intense flames.

No injuries were reported. The cause has not been determined.
