HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (KMOX) -  There has been a rash of holdups at banks located inside grocery stores lately.

Jefferson County sheriff authorities say they’ve made an arrest in a case dating back to October 5th, when the U-S Bank inside the Schnucks in High Ridge was targeted by an armed robber.

35-year-old Damon Gibbs of St. Louis is being held on a $250,000 cash only bond for 1st degree robbery.

Authorities say they developed information leading to Gibbs’ arrest while investigating a series of similar robberies throughout the St. Louis area.
