CHESTERFIELD, MO (KMOX) - For at least one West County realtor group, the real estate market is coming back strong.
Kelly Hager, owner of the Kelly Hager Group with Keller Williams Realty in Chesterfield, says pent-up demand is one reason the company is hiring 40 full-time employees amid a flood of new buyers.
“We’re finding that consumer confidence is way up and that people are sick and tired of being sick and tired,” she said.
Hager says many buyers are taking advantage of low interest rates and home prices before they start to inch up. “I think that no matter who you go to in the real estate market who actively works full-time, everybody will tell you the same thing: we’re almost scared. That’s how flooded we are.”
Scared, she says, that it is almost too good to be true. As for those 40 new jobs, Hager said candidates do not have to have a current real estate license.
“Definitely hitting in the six-figure range. They have to be driven, very motivated, smart, very professional, and they will do very well,” she said.
