EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) - A federal judge in East St. Louis has sentenced a Fairview Heights man who pleaded guilty to producing child pornography to 35 years in prison.
Authorities say 43-year-old Andrew Gerald Millas pleaded guilty to three counts of production of child pornography and one count of transportation of child pornography.
Millas was sentenced Monday, and U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton says the sentence is a reminder of what happens to people who prey on children.
Prosecutors say Millas sent undercover investigators still images of child pornography and broadcast a live sex act with a minor to them using a web camera. The FBI found more than 14,000 multimedia files and 900,000 image files on computer equipment seized from Millas.
