ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has officially ruled the death of a south St. Louis woman a homicide. No additional details will be released at this time.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A fire that broke out early Wednesday morning has claimed the life of a south St. Louis woman.
Captain Dan Sutter with the St. Louis Fire Department tells KMOX News that the call came in at 12:30 a.m. for a blaze in the 4000 block of Giles
Officials are awaiting family notification before they release the victim’s identity.
Another person who lives in the home was not present at the time the fire broke out.
St. Louis police homicide investigators and the Bomb & Arson squad have joined fire investigators at the scene to try and determine how it started.
