ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  A two-year-old girl who police say had been missing after her mother was found, has been found safe and is now with her grandmother.

It’s an unusual case that St. Louis Police continue to piece together.

Two-year-old Tiana McNeil was found with an acquaintance Thursday evening. The mother is 27-year-old Tatiana McNeil. Police Captain Michael Sack says Tatiana’s body was found in the 9200 block of Riverview.

“Railroad employees found the body of Tatiana McNeil. The body had been there for awhile,” Sack said.

The St. Louis medical examiner has ruled the death of Tatiana McNeil a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (866) 371-TIPS.
