ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Another tragic example of the dangers of letting a very young child sleep with you in your bed.

A one-month-old boy was found unresponsive at a home in the 2300 block of University early Monday morning.

The child had been in the bed with his mother and another child when the mother called 9-1-1 because she noticed the boy wasn’t breathing. He died at a hospital hours later.

The Child Abuse unit of the St. Louis police department is heading up the investigation. Police say the investigation is part of protocol when a child dies.
