Stan Musial Special

In this special edition of the Cardinals Hot Stove League Show, hosts Kevin Wheeler & Mike Claiborne look back at the life of Stan “The Man” Musial. The Hall of Fame player died at the age of 92 on Saturday night at his home in Ladue as he died peacefully surrounded by his family.

The morning following Stan’s death, “Sports on a Sunday” host Ron Jacober spoke with Musial’s longtime teammate and friend, Red Schoendienst, from the 2013 Cardinals Winter Warm-Up.

When Stan Musial received the Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama in February 2011, Mike & Kevin visited with Hall of Fame greats Henry Aaron & Frank Robinson to get their thoughts on “The Man”.

At the final day of the 2013 Cardinals Winter Warm-Up, Kevin Wheeler and KMOX host Mark Reardon spoke with Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig to get his thoughts on Stan the baseball player and genuine good person.

Kevin & Mike close the special edition of the show with some final thoughts, but appropriately give the final words to Harry Caray, “The Man” himself, other baseball greats, Lillian Musial and Stan’s harmonica.
