EDWARDSVILLE, IL. (KMOX) - A wheelchair bound man told police he was beaten repeatedly by a man he lived with in Granite City and was knocked out of his wheel chair.
He managed to get to a local business to call police. They arrested Ecker Mathews. He was jailed on 50-thousand dollars bond.
The Madison County State s Attorney s Office said Ecker qualifies for an enhanced felony offense because the victim was physically handicapped.
