Man Sought In Attempted Holdup At Family Dollar Store

Brett Blume

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  It happened last Friday — a man walked into the Family Dollar store in the 3700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King and announced a robbery.

He flashed a weapon and demanded cash from the clerk.

But when the register wouldn’t open, the man fled empty-handed.

He’s described as a black male, 25 to 30 years of age, 5’10” to 6′ tall, 160 to 180 pounds.

He fled in a green SUV, with what appeared to be a spare tire on the right front.

Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at (866) 371-TIPS.

That’s (866) 371-8477.
