E. ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A brawl while people were standing in line in a Department of Human Services Office in East St Louis has the mayor asking for metal detectors.
Mayor Alvin Parks told KMOX News, with all the shootings that have taken place across the nation, he feels a metal detector would help protect people.
He will have to get the state to install the detectors because the facility at 9th and Missouri is a state office.
The fight started over a place in line and escalated from there with fists flying and workers concerned for their safety.
The brawl was caught on a cell phone video and it’s gone viral. So far there have been no arrests.
