ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Details on the public visitation for the late Stan Musial have been released by the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The public visitation for the Cardinals Hall of Famer will take place today, from 2-8 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis at 4431 Lindell Boulevard.
KMOX1120 will have live updates from the visitation beginning at 2 p.m.
Parking:
Parking around the Cathedral might be scare today. St. Louis police will help with parking on the boulevard, between Newstead and Taylor avenues. West Pine Boulevard also can be used for parking. Lindell Boulevard will remain open to traffic. Visitors are asked to enter the cathedral through the main doors on Lindell.
The public visitation will also mean the noon mass is cancelled and both Rosati-Kain High School and the St. Louis the King School at the Cathedral will be closed.
Visitation:
The Musial family has requested that no photos be taken inside of Church and that any mementos be left at the Stan Musial Statue at Busch Stadium. In lieu of flowers, the Musial family has requested that donations be made to Covenant House-Missouri or a charity of the fan’ s choice in the name of Stan Musial.
Saturday’s funeral is private. However, you can listen to the funeral on KMOX1120 beginning at 11 a.m.
