ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A man has been charged for a string of robberies in the last week, including two in which the victims were Saint Louis University students.

Andre Lowery, 32, of St. Louis, faces three counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree attempted robbery, and four counts of armed criminal action.

The first crime happened last Friday at a Family Dollar store in the 3700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King around 10 p.m. Police say a suspect, armed with a small handgun, stole a woman’s bag.

Two other robberies occurred Sunday on Arkansas and Lindell. The victims were shown a weapon and robbed of their possessions.

Then around 2 a.m. Thursday, another woman was robbed of her cell phone and purse by a suspect with a small silver handgun. None of the victims were hurt.
