St. Louis Auto Show Responsible for 10% Bounce in Auto Sales
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — You can expect local car sales to rev up as St. Louisans get an up-close-and-personal look at the latest offerings from automakers this weekend at America’s Center and Edward Jones Dome.
Local auto sellers are expected to see a post-Auto Show bounce of 10-percent or more in sales in the days and weeks following the annual event. This year’s show features more than 500 new cars, trucks, SUVs and luxury vehicles from over 25 manufacturers all under one roof.
St. Louis Auto Dealers’ executive vice president Chris Adelmann tells KMOX that the post-Recession health of the auto industry is reflected in the size of this year’s show, and this year’s is a big one.
“We had so many manufacturers, like GM, move in early because they brought more freight. They’ve never brought this much exhibit to the St. Louis audio show before.”
The show runs through Sunday — admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-to-12, and those under 6 get in free.
Auto Show hours are 12 – 10 p.m. Friday, 10 – 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
