Dogs Attack Walkers, Police Shoot One of the Animals

BRIDGETON, MO. (KMOX) – Two men are recovering from bite wounds as the result of an attack by two dogs.

It happened as they walked in Riverwoods Park in Bridgeton. What police are describing as wild dogs bit one man on the arm and the other on his legs.

When a Bridgeton Police arrived, one of the dogs charged at a female officer, who fired a shot with her service revolver and hit one in a shoulder.

They ran off into some woods but were were subdued with the use of a pole-catcher later.

The injured animal, believed to be a pit bull was taken to an animal hospital. The other, a terrier mix, was taken away by county officials.
